Michael C. Carlos Museum
Join us for a tour of the Michael C. Carlos Museum Conservation Lab and Pop-up Lab in addition to a couple presentations. Only 30 people will be allowed at this event due to space, so attendance is first come first serve! To begin the day, we are planning two presentations by members of both Georgia Tech's and Emory's EHS Department to discuss the health and safety challenges of managing creative makerspaces and also on hazardous materials in artifacts. This will be followed by a tour of the conservation lab spaces and a Q&A with one of the museum's conservators. Afterwards, attendees will be free to roam the museum at their leisure.
