          Lee Lemke will take us through the Legislative process on Tuesday February 12, 2019.  He will meet us at the State Capital at 9:30 AM and we will finish with lunch (on your own) at the cafeteria in the Sloppy Floyd “Twin Towers” about noon.

            We will preview some of the Bills under consideration, sit in on a Committee meeting where negotiations and public comments are heard, and visit the Legislative Chambers while in session.

            Perhaps the most important part of this visit will be the opportunity to meet with some of the Legislators we elected – or who beat the one we wanted to elect.

            Lee will track Legislation for the Georgia Local Section and help promote our interest.  This is how we were able to pass Title Protection (O.C.G.A. 43-21A) for Industrial Hygienists and Certified Industrial Hygienists.  This year, Georgia is focusing on reducing trade restrictions that result from Professional Regulations.
