Join us for the summer Georgia Local Section AIHA Meeting. There will be a presentation, by the 4th Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team, explaining their CBRN (Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear) capabilities in the event of the use or threatened use of a weapon of mass destruction, as well as a tour of their response vehicles and a hands-on display of their detection equipment. LTC Stephen Tucker, 201st Regional Support Group (RSG) / Region IV, Georgia Homeland Response Force (HRF), GA Army National Guard and LT Juan Gonzalez, Operations Officer, 4th Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team. The last day for registration will be August 20th to allow for security clearance, so register now!
There will also be a presentation by the Cobb County Emergency Response regarding their procedures and ways professionals can get involved with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to assist with damage assessment after a major emergency. A lot of CERT training counts towards certification maintenance.
