We are the Georgia Local Section (GLS) of The
American Industrial Hygiene Association
(AIHA)
Why do we exist?
To Provide a forum for Industrial Hygiene Professionals to meet at the local level to work together to advance the goals and objectives of the profession.
To increase knowledge of industrial and environmental health through the exchange and dissemination of information based on sound science.
To increase communication and interaction with individuals interested in industrial and environmental health.
To promote the profession and the use of good science through cooperation with government, industry, academia, and other professional associations.
To participate in the legislative and regulatory activities which impact on industrial hygienists and the profession in Georgia.
To sustain the continued growth of the industrial hygiene profession through support of student activities (i.e., student section, scholarships, etc.) and outreach to local educational institutions.
